Google Redirects

hi, hope I am posting in the right place.

I've been having problems recently. Earlier today when opening several IE windows (or Mozilla) I would start getting sort of news pages as well as my normal start up page.

Now what I get is a redirect from google. Say I search for "BBC" on google. The first hit is the BBC website. Click on that and it goes to "Ask Jeeves" or "Info.co.uk".

I've updated Malaware and run a scan. Nothing found.

Is this a new thing that will get picked up when I update my Malaware again sometime?
