researchvet Posted July 7, 2008 ID:22031 Share Posted July 7, 2008 McAfee Virus Scan keeps notifying me in the access protection log of Temp0.exe. I have run Malwarebytes and it did not pick this up. I've googled for hours and it sounds like the file is sometimes associated with Real Player and can be legit and other times is associated with a true virus. However, there is no info on how to get rid of it. I've tried your program, McAfee, Adaware, SDFix, CCleaner, etc. Can you provide any info on this and how to get rid of it?Here is the log info from McAfee:7/6/2008 10:30:27 PM Would be blocked by Access Protection rule (rule is currently not enforced) **\TEMP0.EXE C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\Local Settings\TEMP\TEMP0.EXE Anti-spyware Maximum Protection:Prevent all programs from running files from the Temp folder Action blocked : Execute
