Removed a Malware, now CDROM can't be found

My son today managed to get attacked by the Dr Malware or whatever it was. Malwarebytes seemed to do the trick. Full and Quick scans by both it and McAfee show me problem free. But my CDROM though plugged in and checked, is not showing up anymore. And my restore points before todat seem to be unreachable. Is this something anyone here might know about as possibly related to today's attack?

And the modum is coming to work with me from now on....
