Hello All, I found out about malwarebytes from a support rep @ AMD, the manufacturer of my proccesser. For the past week I've had issues with ie. At various times, it cranks my cpu to 100% for minutes at a time and because of that I have to wait for the cpu to drop in order to execute any commands. I've spent hours on the phone with microtech research engineers and a few hours with symantec. I'm trying to avoid a clean install of xp and all that go with that horrible task. I ran norton 360 and microsoft's virus removal tools and both full system scans came out clean. I ran the free version of malwarebytes and it picked up

Welcome troy1107 -

4 Trojans and a few other items is a good clear - Now make sure you click the Update Tab and keep it updated -

The paid version is the same basic program as the free version as far as finding infections - Still a bargain at the $25 Lifetime License cost -

The main changes are Auto Scans / Auto Updates and knowing it is always active and protecting you 24 hours a day -

Thanks - :)

Thank you! This forum has a wealth of information and I look forward to reading, learning, and helping when ever I can. Your right when you say $25 is a bargain for a lifetime subscription. Thanks for the reply!
