IP Blocking of Malicious Websites

Recommended Posts

I have had a high volume of IP blocks with Malwarebytes. I do not have peer-to-peer installed. Below is a link to my latest protection log

protection-log-2010-05-31.txt

A few days ago I downloaded a bad file that had a rootkit.tdss. I realized the infection immediately, norton 360 and malwarebytes were updated and running. I tried to run scans but it was too late to stop it. I decided to just re-ghost my system..and start over from a previous date, pre-infection. My re-ghosting wiped out everything, the whole disk partition was re-written.

All scans are clean, but I am getting this high volume of IP Blocks to a potentially malicious websites. When I try to look up these IPs there is often no info on them.

Is it possible that my infection "gave away" an ip address of something in my house, my router, my mac address, my provider ip, my computer ip? How can I stop this assault.

Trog

Thanks for the reply, I have paid for Malwarebytes, so I put in an e-mail. I see your instructions, I suppose the support staff will offer the same steps to take. The links to defogger, dds and GMER Rootkit Scanner seem scary to me, but I suppose that they are safe..?
