search engine redirector bug

I have been infected with a search engine redirector bug. I have AVG which warned me on Wed, but after I had clicked on the site. I was advised to try Malwarebytes which I did and it found 14 serious bugs and healed them. When I run it now, it shows no bugs but I am still being redirected on any searches on Google or Bing. I'm hoping someone knows of some bug cleaner programs that can help. AVG has listed some free ones but they are virus-specific and I don't know what I have other than what I said. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
