malware scanner

my laptop has the been messing up for the passed couple weeks. i tried scanning it with malwarebyes and i have infected files,5 of them so far in the first hour of scanning. well after an hour it freezes and wont scan no more and ive tried re installing it and it still doesnt change it at all.

it doesnt find the files that are infected on the quick scan...

Nikki,

The quick scan is designed to catch active malware. Typically the only thing that the full scan finds that the quick scan doesn't is traces of already-dead/removed infections and/or items in the system restore (showed as system_volume in scan results) area of your computer, which can no longer harm you computer unless you use an infected restore point.

The quick scan should be all that you need to remove active malware from your system, the full scan is not needed for this.

That being said, if you believe you are infected, please do follow gtyhfy's directions above.
