This is not restricted to a single instance or operating system as long as it is not used remotely across a domain or network, you may use it on as many VM's as you have on that single machine. This also includes multiboot environments. Just keep in mind that it is only for home use and any use in any sort of tech/repair or corporate environment requires special licensing.
