Infected by Antispyware Soft tonight while running MWB pro & Avast Pro

Recommended Posts

I was at a zetaboard forum tonight when about 1 1/2 hours ago I got a popup that said I was infected with a virus & to run this program which I did not run it since it wasn't a malewarebytes or avast popup window. I clicked on MWB to run a through scan but couldn't figure out why it didn't catch whatever it is to begin with. I use FireFox but I still have IE on my computer. I also run Vista.

I went to safe mode as soon as I realized I was infected & tried to run the scan. I get a message that says Application cannot be excuted. The file mbam.exe is infected. Do you want to activate your antivurus sofeware now? I haven't clicked a single popup message so far but avast has nailed some Trojan that had the word fake in it's file name. Now IE is popping up with some porn.

I would like to know how to get rid of this thing & how it got on my computer tonight while running malewarebytes & avast?

I'm on my laptop right now so I get to watch this thing infect my comptuter. I personally would like to kick the person who created the virus' a$$.

JS:FakeWarn-C[Trj] is the name of the infection Avast blocked but it's not helping.
