mhminmax Posted May 21, 2010 ID:253709 Share Posted May 21, 2010 Two machines have been brought into our shop with strange behavior. Windows time always changing to several years ago (battery good), web pages scroll to the bottom and will return there as soon as mouse released and intermittent freezing.MBAM Superantispyware, blacklight, AVG, GMER, prevx, trendmicro all find nothing. Combofix says it deleted a file called wincidll.dll from c:\windows. Sure enough, web pages scroll normally and the date and time do not change. Then after an hour or sometimes only a few minutes, with or without restart, the date and time change again and all the other symptoms are back too. A simple search reveals wincidll.dll back in the root of windows folder. I can delete the file and get normal behavior from the machines until the file reappears. An internet search for the filename returns nothing.I'm wondering if anyone here has seen this too. Thanks for reading, Mike.
