My Site - False Positive?

Hello,

My site IP is:

93.174.88.96

Why is it being detected as malware?

I have not installed or changed anything :)

Also you might want to know this is a VPS and so my other IP, 93.174.88.95, is being blocked as well.

So it has to be my site, the URL is shockstreams.com

They're blocked because they're residing within Ecatel IP space (an ISP well known for completely ignoring criminal activity on their networks).

Your site appears to be "closed" at present, but researching it indicates you are/were selling streams of copyrighted material such as TV programs. Irrespective of this, if your site is indeed legit (and as it's "closed", I can't actually look at it), then you'd be well advised to move the site to a new host (i.e. one that doesn't use Ecatel).

Hello,

How is that fair for the block however? Surely that confuses people into thinking there is malware on the site?

The site was closed due to these issues, I am going to use the domain for other purposes but am stuck now.

Sadly, it's primarily due to the network itself. Ecatels network has long been a haven for everything from botnets to malware to phishing, to much worse things such as CP. NO legit site would ever want to be associated with Ecatels network, ever.

I noticed you've got another domain that appears to have the same content (rather intruiging, especially given WhoIs is hidden for both of them - strange for a company, no? especially when companies "disclaimer" is ONLY available "upon request").

As I said, if you're site is legit, I'd strongly urge you move the site elsewhere.

Just to clarify, "malicious content" covers alot more than just malware.

Hello,

I understand your point, I am quite annoyed to be honest, never realised this would happen.

Thanks for your help, at least I cleared up what malware was, I was scratching my head to why I was being blocked.

I will get on the case ASAP and move to a trusted host, shame I am left out of pocket. :)

Thanks for your help. :)
