1.46 does it's scan at 3am every morning and then it displays the log file when the scan is done.

Then the computer wakes me up because it plays a sound when the scan is done.

Also, MB and the log file are still being diplayed on the sceen when I get up in the morning.

I want MB to do the scan post a log and then go back to the tray and not show me anything unless there is a problem, just like 1.44 did

Which settings control this behavior?

Thanks

Greetings

To get the desired behavior delete the existing scheduled scan that you created and create a new one, this time making sure to check the box next to Terminate program when scan completes successfully. before clicking on the Add button.

More information on the new scheduler can be found here.

If you require anything further please feel free to post or contact support@malwarebytes.org.

Thanks :)

Hi thanks,

I saw that but it looked to me like MB would not be running in the task bar after the scan.

Terminate to me means, stop a program from running by exiting the program.

Maybe some better wording for us literal types, like.

"Exit scan and send to system tray."

I also saw the silent admin checkbox and thought maybe that was the correct choice.

Greetings :)

Yes, it does terminate mbam.exe, which is the scanner, it does not terminate your realtime protection though (mbamgui.exe and mbamservice.exe), so your protection and tray icon do indeed continue to run to protect your computer and perform whatever other scheduled scans and updates you have set :).
