Hello! My uncle gave me his laptop yesterday because he encountered serious problem. I read carefully the topics related with this trojan and especially that:

http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...c=49350&hl=

Let me give you some clues: 1) I ran laptop antivirus Eset NOD32 (current updates), it found some infected files and it quarantined them. The problem is that I can not ran a full scan (also in safe mode) because the laptop is turning off during the scan. I tried to uninstall Eset in order to install another antivirus but the following message from the Windows Installer appeared: This action is only valid for products currently installed. 2) I installed MBAM, ran a full scan and I attach the log file. It found infected files and deleted them, but wwwzuc32.exe appears in windows startup. I ran MBAM several times after the first scan but it can not find any infected file. 3) I uninstalled all previous versions of Adobe and Java and I also deleted related files in C:\Program Files, C:\Documents and Settings and C:\Windows (for Java). I also ran Javara. 4) I installed Spybot, ran a full scan, it found some infected files and deleted them, but the problem continues. At last, find attached: a) first MBAM log, :) DDS log with Attach.txt and c) GMER log (zip). Should I run Combofix? I'll be out the following 1-2 hours, so I'll see your reply later. Thank you for your help. Greetings from Greece!

Eset and MBAM full scan do not find anything infected. I gave the laptop back to my uncle. He is complaining now about low surfing speed, I think it is because of the installation of Eset Internet Security. I'll scan again the laptop the following days and I'll inform you. Is it possible, something remained and both Eset and MBAM can not find it? Thank you!

No, you shouldn't! Now:

  • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Go to "Update" tab and select "Check for Updates". If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Go to "Scanner" tab and select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

In your next reply, please include these log(s) in this sequence:

  1. MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware log
  2. a new fresh DDS log only

Maniac thanks again for your reply! First of all, I ran a MBAM (updated) quick scan, nothing found. Then, I also ran a scan with Eset and again no infected file. I beleive the laptop is ok. Please close the thread. I'd like to thank you for your advise and I'm sorry for my late response but the laptop is not mine.
