Post Cleanup Oddities

Hi all. I have a problem that has popped up for the third time and I still have no answer for it. Basically, my computer gets infected with one of those fake anti-virus/software programs, so I use my MBAM and follow removal instructions to clean up the computer. All this works perfectly EXCEPT that most of my software that comes with automatic updating....won't. This includes World of Warcraft patches and Avira Antivir automatic updates. Any ideas?

Either you are still infected to some degree and/or the malware has made it so you cannot update certain important items.
