MBAM Clean problem

I am reinstalling MBAM. I uninstalled it, did a restart, then tried to use MBAM-clean.exe, but I got the following error message: SHGet Value failed with error code 0.

Please help with this problem.

I downloaded another copy of MBAM-clean.exe and got a message: not a valid win32 app.

Hi -

A quick thought - Check your 'My Documents' to see if you already have a copy of the item there -

You may have it there and are trying to over install - It usually still installs/works but ?? -

Did you de activate your A/V first as this can also be a cause of the blocking - This also occurs with some games that ask to install without A/V activated -

The first error is normal, it simply means that when Malwarebytes' was uninstalled it already removed part of the registry info that MBAM-Clean is supposed to remove, it didn't find it there so it reported that it failed to find the value that it was looking to delete.

As for the second error, it's likely that the download got corrupted so just delete that copy and download another if you still need it.

Just a thought.....

Instead of giving the SHGet Value failed with error code 0 (which means alot to a programer) could we just not make it a simple message that everyone can understand?

Maybe something like Program ran Successful - Nothing to do
