what does this code mean..?

Recommended Posts

i just installed the malwarebytes v1.46 and received this for 5-6 times for some reason

i tried to reinstall it by following the steps given in the malwarebytes forum. Yes i did follow the steps correctly.

and got the same message.

The product seems to be working well but im still hesitating...

Thus, i install a v1.44 and still got the same message...

So i just uninstalled it and reinstalled the v1.46

(I did follow the steps to uninstall it, i did around 5 restarts that day and it was unpleasant )

So today just to be sure that there is no issue later on with this product i came here.

please thank you for replies on this.

A few quick questions in my mind...

1. I would like to know what "reinstall it by following the steps given in the malwarebytes forum" means. Do you mean the instruction by using "mbam-clean.exe"?

2. Which operating system do you have in that computer?

3. Do you run the setup program from an admin account?

Please try the following:

Note: Only attempt this if you are running an English installation of Windows XP as this tool has NOT been tested on Windows Vista or Windows 7 or on non-English installations of Windows:

Reset Default Permissions:

  • Please download ResetDefaultPerms by AdvancedSetup from here and save it to your desktop
  • Close any open programs and save anything you were working on
  • Double click on restoredefaultperms.exe to run it
  • Once it completes it will restart your computer

i followed this

i have windows xp and i am the admin of my computer.

Windows XP:

* Click on Start and select Control Panel

* Open Add/Remove Programs

* Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

* Restart your computer very important

* Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here

* It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important

* After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here

o Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version

o Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask and we'll explain how to do it.
