Hello,

I have the following installed:

Windows XP, SP3

McAfee VirusScan 8.7 (not by choice but mandatory by my employer since I use my computer for work-related things)

Malwarebytes Pro

SUPERantiSpyware

CCleaner

Revo Uninstaller

ATF Cleaner

Also, I am using Firefox as my web browser. What other software would you recommend that I need?

Thank you!

I like WinPatrol

WinPatrol takes snapshot of your critical system resources and alerts you to any changes that may occur without your knowledge. WinPatrol was the pioneer in using a heuristic behavioral approach to detecting attacks and violations of your computing environment. It continues to be the most powerful system monitor for its small memory footprint

WOT is user biased and quite subjective.

Finjan SecureBrowsing from Vital Security is not:

http://securebrowsing.finjan.com/about.html

WOT is not based only on user ratings. There are flags from malwareURL.com and hpHosts, too.

That's why it is very effective when rating as red truly malicious websites, even though there are some

aggresive ratings from users.

On the other hand, a service like Finjan may be more accurate at the expense of speed, due to

the real-time scaning.

There are always advantages and disadvantages.

I don't recommend Foxit reader. Includes adware and other related material. I use SumatraPDF now as of saturday.

For office software use Openoffice as it has everything you need. Spreadsheets, Databases, Presentations, Text Editor ect.

VLC media player is definitely recommended for free.

X 2 regarding WOT!

I have seen way too many fools rating a site wrongly because they thought they were treated badly or just being malicious. I will never trust it.

Let the sheeple play with it, it is good for the security business
