After each scan whether its a full or quick scan malwarebytes states no viruses found but a log file is created. What does this mean.

Malwarebytes produces a log after each scan so you can keep a record of what malware was found/removed on your computer. If Malwarebytes doesn't find any malware, it just produces a log saying that nothing was found. You can view the logs by double clicking on them in the 'Logs' tab.

You can also have it not open logs automatically after scans if you wish, just look for the option Open log file immediately after saving. on the Settings tab.
