Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted April 30, 2010 Root Admin ID:241858 Share Posted April 30, 2010 Temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and then run the following to see if it resolves the issue or not. Make sure you use the link in this post to download a new version.Windows Vista and Windows 7:Click on the Start button and select Control PanelClick on Programs and FeaturesUninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareRestart your computer very importantDownload and run mbam-clean.exe from here It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very importantAfter the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from hereNote: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro versionLaunch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or post to ask and we'll explain how to do it.
noknojon Posted April 30, 2010 ID:241864 Share Posted April 30, 2010 Hi Slam -1 / A good memory !! Can you disable Threatfire which is an over active Firewall - Also make sure any Add on pac from Norton can now be disabled - Especially the Parental Control part of the program - These are, again, overactive at times and block too many 'good' items - At times thet flag MBAM as a Red Site - With Paid version of MBAM a lot of these items are already covered - 4052 is the current update version -Thank You - EDIT - Did you install V1.46 twice, as it will prompt for a second install (but no shut downs) - Keep us updated with your progress -Or follow the directions by AdvancedSetup First - He knows more than me -
