iaStor.sys

Recommended Posts

I have a netbook, that became infected, so I ran the Mal-ware bytes and it flagged serveral files and removed them, and asked to restart. On the restart it won't load past the Windows XP logo splash screen, after that it goes BSOD and says the file iaStor.sys is missing. I can't get it to windows via last known good config, safe mode, debugging, or anything. How do I go about getting this problem resolved. Thanks for you help.

  • Root Admin
iaStor.sys is a intel driver file

woops, meybe white list all critical sata/ide driver files with hash

And one of the targeted files for replacement by infections - no it should not be white listed and current root kits bypass MD5 checking like child's play.

The user needs to seek assistance with detection and removal.
