MBAM_ERROR_EXPANDING_VARIABLES (0,9)

I downloaded malwarebytes a couple days ago. I ran it once and then I tried to run it yesterday and it wouldnt start.

I get an error message the the code in this threads title.

Then another error message pops up that says....

"An error has occured. Please report this error code to our support team.

MBAM_ERROR_MISSING_FILE (3, 0, mbamswissarmy.sys)

The system cannot find the path specified."

Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I still get the same result.

Im running win7.

Thanks for the help. I looked through it and didnt see an error code that looks like mine. What do we do now?

Yup. You are right. It is the new version that is causing this. I just downloaded an older version and it works perfectly.
