Quick question about scanning

I'm in the middle of a scan that has been running for 4 hours; by file count I would guess it's about 25% completed. The problem is I do not have enough time to let it finish before I leave my office to head home. Would it be alright to pause the scan, hibernate the computer then resume the scan later? Any help would be appreciated!

Well I'm sure you've left by now sorry no one got to you. That is a long time so I'm guessing you chose the Full Scan instead of the Quick Scan which in most cases is enough.

It's difficult to say how it will function as some computers do not wake up and respond properly and other do. If not then this time when you start the scan again just choose the Quick Scan and see how that works out. Check for updates first though.
