CreateProcess failed: Code 2 can't run malwarebytes

I'm trying to run Malwarebytes and I'm having the same problem other people have had where when I try to download it the error "Create Process failed; Code 2" comes up saying it can't run Malwarebytes. I tried to uninstall it but for some reason it can't completely uninstall and it states that the file "mbamext.dll" can not be removed because access is denied. I am the only one who uses my computer.

The whole problem I'm having is that every time I go through a Google search and try to click one of the links it produced it takes me to some random website that is usually like the yellowpages or webdomain or yahoo. Maybe it's adware? I just need to get rid of it somehow and was hoping Malwarebytes would find it but can't run it.

Before we proceed, here are some things that you can take note of so that the cleaning up process will be more smooth and efficient. Do not worry, the points below are not any form of rules, it's just a few pointers that can ensure that you will get the best help from me. ;)

Meanwhile, please do the following:

Please download DDS and save it to your desktop.

  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS.txt will open.
  • Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Please attach the second file; Attach.txt. To attach a file, do the following:

  • Under the reply panel is the Attachments Panel
  • Browse for the attachment file you want to upload, then click the green Upload button
  • Once it has uploaded, click the Manage Current Attachments drop down box
  • Click on attach_add.png to insert the attachment into your post
