Koobface removal

I searched the net after Malwarebytes couldn't remove Koobface. I discovered it comes from Face Book. Every site I found sent you to Spy Hunter so I dowloaded thinking I really need to get rid of it. I truly need help with this. I'm so baffled has to how it could have picked up 132 trojans and 33 cookies. I thought I removed everything earlier today. I've been researching and I don't understand if it's a ploy to ge you to buy there product or if I really have the scary amount of trojans and cookies on my system. Thanks if anyone reading this can help me and put me at ease.
