JeanInMontana Posted April 26, 2008 ID:17265 Share Posted April 26, 2008 If you have the paid version I'm sure Winfixer is in the defs for prevention. Either version would remove.
nosirrah Posted April 26, 2008 ID:17267 Share Posted April 26, 2008 The trojan that used to install this has long since moved on to installing other fake antimalware applications .Winfixer is a rogue not malware but as Jean mentioned , yes we do remove it .MBAM also protects against the trojan that installs this family of rogues . laserjet Posted April 28, 2008 Author ID:17339 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Glad to hear that, it seems Malwarebytes is trying to stay a step ahead of these insidious threats.
