mylanta3 Posted March 20, 2010 ID:218057 Share Posted March 20, 2010 You need to repost in the Malware Forum with a hijackthis log for professional help. The general forums do not deal with these issues.Download and install hijackthis to your working pc and then post the log in the right forum.http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-Hijac...4-10227353.html

DarkSnakeKobra Posted March 20, 2010 ID:218075 Share Posted March 20, 2010 Hi gib10 and welcome to malwarebytes'!Can I have you follow these directions instead? Usually they need much more then a hijackthis log. First follow these directions on xp internet security HERE. If this doesn't don't solve your problem, then follow the next.We don't work on Malware removal or diagnostics in the general forums. Please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post. noknojon Posted March 21, 2010 ID:218405 Share Posted March 21, 2010 @ mylanta 3 -We have a "Self Help Area" that contains many repairs that can be done by any able user - The reason for this area is to save the backlog of problems that build up when the specific cause is known - If you scan the forum it is listed below "PC Help Area" -Thank You -
mylanta3 Posted March 21, 2010 ID:218504 Share Posted March 21, 2010 OK thanks Ron, I will use this then from now on...Say maybe the name of the forum needs changing then as it states "Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs ", especially if it isn't for hijack this logs anymore? Just a thought. Maybe better descriptives need to be on the forum titles, as that one says " Please do not post any questions regarding malware in this forum" and you are saying they should? Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted March 22, 2010 Root Admin ID:219083 Share Posted March 22, 2010 Well some sites still use HJT as their starting point and all of them still have HJT as part of their forum name so we keep it to sort of stay in touch with the other forums. Many people even home users still associate it with Malware removal so no sens in changing it right now, though who knows, maybe in the future.
