Adware after cleaning.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have been attacked 3 times by the "Antivirus 2010" malware. Thanks to the Malwarebytes staff, I was able to clean it all three times. However, this third time, the malware is clean but ads randomly pop up and it attracts the "antivirus" malware. My browser pop-up blocker is on and up to date, my windows is up to date, my antivirus, malwarebytes, adaware are all up to date and I clean everyday and it shows no signs of any malware.

This random pop up ads that attract the malware are getting very annoying.

Is there anything I can do????

Hi OldMD,

What anti-virus are you using? Also try following these guides.

We don't work on Malware removal or diagnostics in the general forums.

Please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.

After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post.

Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org

You need to follow the advice from Buttons. The system from your description is infected. Make sure you provide the GMER log file. Without that log file we cannot confirm the issue for you.

If you've been reinfected 3 or 4 times now then you need to pay more attention to the finishing speech or consider purchasing the Pro version of MBAM which should protect you much better than most of these other programs.
