Unable to run malwarebytes or mbam-clean

Recommended Posts

Some thing disabled my malwarebytes along with my windows update.

I uninstalled malwarebytes, rebooted and reinstalled. When I tried to run it I got the message unable to execute file C:\anti-malwarebye\mbam.exe Creat process failed code 2. When i went into the program folder for malwarebytes ther was no file named

mbam.exe. There was one named mbamqui.exe. I tried renaming that to Mbam.exe with no luck.

I then tried to use the the mbam-clean.exe and got this message. SH Get Value failed with error code 0

Thanks for any help!

Try to complete all the steps, but you can skip any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here:

If your computer is un-bootable and you cannot run any of the steps, just post a description of the problems you are having there.

The first step allowed the sanner to work. Do I remove randomized renamed mbam.exe to get malwarebytes to run normally or do I reinstall.
