what's your security setup?

I currently use:

Panda Cloud Antivirus (I got the Pro version from the link someone here posted from a site giving out free Pro codes)

Spybot Search and Destroy

CCleaner

Is there anything you guys recommend I should add or replace?

AdBlock Plus

BetterPrivacy

Flashblock

NoScript

Is there anything you guys recommend I should add or replace?

my set up varies I change this quite often what always stays the same is Windows Defender, Spybot S & D and now Malwarebytes Pro my AV and firewall configurations change as I experiment with different setups I have to make a canned speech for the malware removal class & I don't like to recommend something I haven't tried myself

I agree with you. Who has the Kaspersky assure you that he can sleep well, and leave the computer in the hands of children.

And Kaspersky is the best ever. :D

ZoneAlarm Firewall (looking for a reputable new one)

MBAM

Spybot S/D (resident)

SpywareBlaster

SAS (on command)

Anyone using Avira AV with SourceFire? would this be a good thing to think about doing? since i got my first rootkit fixed the other day my eyes have been opened to a whole new world of things to look at to protect my systems. :)

You mean Threatfire? SourceFire is a company that develops Snort(not really usable) and Clamav. :)

Yep. Things may not work right, change of pace etc etc. :)

Antivirus - Returnil(av disabled)

Antimalware - Superanitspyware/ Malwarebytes Pro

Firewall- PrivateFirewall

Other - HostsMan, Sandboxie Pro, WinPatrol Plus

Browsers- Chrome and Arora

Chrome Ext- Adblock/Flash Block

I just think it would be cool to post how you keep your computer secure. Feel free to post your current setup, or your ideal setup.

I am running W7 fully patched, spyware terminator, MBAM pro, and N360. :)

I would love to explain my security setup to you and how I chose the various components.. Unfortunately, it's *CLASSIFIED* ; if TWO, or more, people know a security secret, it's no longer SECURE.. or a SECRET.. :)

I revamped my windows 7 security so this is what im using now:

Avira free

Mamutu

superantispyware

malwarebytes (paid)

spyware blaster

sphinx front-end for Windows firewall
