Welcome torontorian (Always wondered whay they were called) -

First look in Add/Remove programs in Control panel and see if the program is recognised - Then follow these instructions -

Please try this on the computer that is having an issue.

1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

2. Restart your computer (very important).

3. Download and run this utility. mbam-clean.exe

4. It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to).

5. After the computer restarts, install the latest version from here. mbam-setup.exe

Thank You - :P

This will ensure a fresh new version of the program - If you still have problems post back as you may have an infection or other problem -

Click on Start and select Run

In the Run box copy and paste the text in the following code box exactly as written and press Enter or click on OK:

Use the top code first (a full DiskCheck) It will restart your computer and take about 30 mins to run -

CMD /C ECHO Y|CHKDSK C: /R | SHUTDOWN /R /T 30

Next Same procedure - Use this code to check your connectivity -

REG ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" /v GlobalUserOffline /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Thank You - :P

Hi There

My PC is working fine now. I used spybot tools and it removed the infection. Thanks a lot for your help.
