The file pztrain.exe is a very old cheating trainer i downloaded from emule several years (~4 years) ago for the xmas version of the game Chicken Invaders 2. Despite the age of the file that was downloaded before the Anti-Malware program was created and all of my former and current anti-viruses and anti-spyware programs don't detected this file as a threat. My curret version of Anti-Malware detect this file as Malware.Packer.Gen. Why? Is this a false alarm?

http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/0702f81...86af-1268764698 Looks like most vendors are detecting the same generic structure .

The issue here is that for reasons I cant understand the makers of many game mod tools build them with tools used by many malware makers to make their malicious software harder to detect . As a result the game mods are frequently detected by generic detection routines .

There is no way I can fix this without helping the bad guys so please use the ignore function .

I also have this file pztrain.exe but for a different game. Clicking the ignore button only tells Malwarebytes to ignore it until the next scan which seems to be at least daily. The only way to permanently ignore it is to run a full scan and choose to add the file to the ignore list. This scan in my case takes over 30 minutes. Can I ask for a change to be made so that when the protection module first detects this false positive, there is an option to then add the file to the ignore list?
