Antivirus Soft Malware

Hello Folks,

I'm getting the same Antivirus Soft malware that many people seem to be having problem with. It won't let me restart Malwarebytes at all. Everytime I try to start it up, it gives me a little popup bubble that says "application cannot be executed. the file mbam.exe is infected"

I've tried to rename mbam.exe to mbam.com but no luck. I guess I will run my highjack this log?

Oh, good lord! It won't even let me install Hijackthis! I can't generate a log? Help!?

What can I do? It seems that re-naming the program won't help. What kind of malware is this?

Wonderful! It worked!

I just ponied up the $25.00 and purchased the full version of Malwarebytes! You guys are great! I'm going to recommend you to all my friends. Now that I have the full version, hopefully I won't have to put up with any more of this stupid malware again.
