Memory footprint of paid version?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of of purchasing the full version for the realtime protection, but am loathe to do so and then find out it's a memory/startup time hog!

Just wondering what the average footprint is and whether the realtime module runs quietly in the background and behaves itself :(

TIA

I have been very pleased with the lack of resource consumption in the MBAM with protection activated. I have a 6 year old HP laptop with a single core 1.8GHz CPU, 1.5GB memory.

According to SystemExplorer mbamservice currently is using about 60MB of memory. This number might seem large, but the overall resource usage seems to be very nice to the system. It certainly does not fall into the resource consumption of an antivirus suite.

I am going to keep an eye on this thread to see what others might have to say about it. I am trying to get my company to be a reseller of MBAM. We are already resellers of Avast antivirus, and these 2 programs seem to complement each other very well with relatively low system overhead.

Just wanted to add my feedback here, I hardly notice Mbam running in the background at all; all I need to see is the little red and white M in the tasktray to tell me I'm protected :(

The only time I ever notice it, is when I look at the task bar. Otherwise it's very quite.

@noknojon- I have it set to delayed by 30 seconds with winpatrol. Although I have quite a bit of start-up items such Online armor which has two icons, threatfire and hostsserver.
