False positive TROJAN.BHO.H ???

I updated the malwarebyte software and ran a quick scan. The results show one infected file. I clicked the 'remove selected' button and let the pc restart. I ran the malwarebyte quick scan run again, and the same file appeared in the results screen. Rebooted and ran the scan again in developer mode, the same one file showed up. I've attached the log file created in developer mode. I hope this is a false positive. Much thanks to you as you have already saved my pc several times!!

I am having the same problem as you every time I reboot. My log lists the location as c:\users\owner\appdata\local\temp\low\coupon~1.dll. Since yours is so similar to mine, I think that I will treat it as a false positive unless someone can offer proof that it is not. My thanks to the creators of Malwarebytes as well.

My system denies write access to the hosts file. When I hit the fix button, the screen goes blank and nothing happens. I am running Vista Home 64 bit. When I do a re-scan the two lines that I checked are still there and when I run a new scan with Malwarebytes it continues to show the same infection as before. thx

Are you running Hijackthis as administrator? (right click run as)

I finally got HJT to clean the two items you pointed out. The subsequent Malwarebytes scan was clean. Thnaks for your help. Was this a bad trojan or relatively harmless?

They were leftover traces from something previously removed. Perfectly harmless.
