Antivirus XP 2010

Hello,

I am having the same issues other Antivirus XP 2010 posts have raised. I am realizing that mbam can help resolve these issues, provided that I can get a live update of the Malwarebytes software which is already installed in the infected computer. How? The infection is preventing access to the Internet to begin with (am I the only one who thinks this would have been obvious?)

At any rate, any help is appreciated. I would like to be able to run an already-updated version of the program by Malwarebytes, either by downloading AND updating on a memory stick and then transferring to the infected computer, or by making the infected computer access the Internet and then having it receive the updates in the (out of date) version which is already running there.

I know, I should have been updating more frequently.
