update problem

Recommended Posts

I get the error code 732 (12007, 0) when trying to update.

XP Pro, sp2.

I am a computer tech and have installed this program hundreds of times. One of the best programs for removal that I have ever found.

On the above computer I cannot access this site either. I get the "this page cannot be displayed" For some strange reason, any site connected to malwarebytes is kicking me out. I can access Internet on any other site and email is fine.

I have done all the suggested fixes for this, but nothing has worked. This has been ongoing for around a week.

Also, just an FYI - Our product is not free for Business use of any kind. You must obtain either a Corporate License or a Technician's License to use this in any type of Business, School, Government, Non-Profit organization. It is only free for Home Users.

You cannot install it to clean Malware on a clients computer without a Technician License.

I am a mobile tech and the installs are at customers homes. I am not abusing the program.

It was, in fact, a DNS issue. Something changed my DNS to static. This is really weird as I could access any other site which is why I didnt look there at first. Thanks

Well unless you have a Technicians License or you're not physically installing the program then your are in violation of the EULA. Simply because your customers are home users does not mean you're not abusing it. If you go out to the customer and they already have it installed and using it on their own is one thing, but when you go out to their home and install it to clean their system then you're using it to make money as part of your business. All we ask is that you license the product for this type of use. The license typically pays for itself in the first two uses.

Thank you.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of that. Didn't intend to cheat. Will rectify that in future uses.
