Logs on, Logs off all modes Can't recover, can't repair

Recommended Posts

Ran a scan from the server to a mapped drive letter on a PC because MBAM.exe would not run on the PC. Restarted the server even though I should not have needed to (was not scanning the server) and now BOTH the server and the PC will not allow logon under any circumstance (safe mode all types). Tried repairing the windows install with CD, no Windows install found. Tried recovery console, causes the computer to reboot. Help! I don't care about the PC, I can reload it AFTER I wipe the drive, but I cannot log on to my server now! Is this going to take a call to Microsoft?!? How, I wish I had not run the scan from the server!

Hello ajernigan@avancent.com, and welcome to Malwarebytes.org

sounds like when you mapped to the pc from the server, the malware spread to your server and infected it. Since we are talking about a server you will probably have to have your corporate info for help and send an email to them. You can find the contact info HERE You can also see if they will help you in the HJT section by following the instructions below.

We don't work on Malware removal in the general forums.

Please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.

After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post.

Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org
