Malwarebytes Security Suite?

Malwarebytes have you ever thought about becoming a full blown security suite, I know that you are not an full antivirus program, but a anti-malware program but I think it would be a great idea.

Have you ever considered this before?

Lets not start adding all this stuff to Malwarebytes, it is doing a excellent job right now and we have plenty of choices for antivirus and firewall software.

Letting people select components based on what they want/need is the way to go . This is also in line with a layered security approach preventing any one targeted attack from knocking all of your security out .

Malwarebytes' was created in the thought of "complementary security app". That is wy we tell people you need an anti-virus. In other words this won't happen.

Ps: I to like how things are. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

When I said turn it into a security site I didn't mean we stop using the Malwarebytes as we know it know, it's a great complimentary product, I don't see why you couldn't give a choice between a standalone and security suite. But understand why you want to stay the way you are, it's easier

I think dividing resources would be another issue. The developers and threat researchers would have to focus on a much larger scope of threats and products and every time a company tries to do that with security it seems to fail. That's why Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware came to exist to begin with because all the big AV vendors kept failing because they tried to cover every threat that existed. I believe MBAM would lose effectiveness and couldn't keep up with the latest threats the way it does if they also created a full blown security suite.

And we all have seen what McAfee, Norton, and even AVG have become....

Although I think Norton has learned its lesson a little...
