Context menu scan with MBAM open?

Hello all,

When I download something, as you would expect, I would like to scan it with my AV, as well as MBAM.

What I do with MBAM, is to open it, and update the database, at which point I would like to scan the relevant file.

There is however a problem, you can't use the context menu scan while the interface is open, so I have to close MBAM, and then right click the file (going through the UAC as well...)

So is it possible to make the context menu scan use the already running MBAM window to scan a file. (and avoid the whole UAC thing again...)

Hi spgSCOTT -

If you update your MBAM every day (like I do) then you always have near enough to the latest version - Then when you Right Click to scan an item you are using the latest versions just as you would do with your A/V -

Yes, I agree with you on this, however sometimes when I scan a file with the context menu, this is the first time that MBAM is run since booting so you can understand that the database will be out of date somewhat...especially as it is not exactly run daily...
