Scarlett Posted March 1, 2010 ID:207837 Share Posted March 1, 2010 Hello!I spent the last few days battling viruses on my own. I am not the world's most malware-savvy but I have tried my best with what knowledge i've had with self-help guides and the like. I think I have cleared all the problems I have, which started with Myheritage Celebrity Toolbar which apparently creates a gateway for viruses and malware installed on my Internet Explorer. I use Firefox so this was a surprise for me. I would just like to have confirmation that i've cleared everything from someone who knows what they are doing!!The last problem I had was a variety of trojans in my system restore files (found by Avira) which kept on being rescanned by the anti-virus program. I think i've solved this problem by disabling and re-enabling System Restore, thus clearing the files.Programs I have: Malwarebytes, Avira, Spybot S&D, CCleaner. I currently have no firewall system, only Windows XP's normal one. Here's the HJT and MWB Logs: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2Scan saved at 13:00:22, on 01/03/2010Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v8.00 (8.00.6001.18702)Boot mode: NormalRunning processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\EvtEng.exeC:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\S24EvMon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.exeC:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\sched.exeC:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\avguard.exeC:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRecvr.exeC:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehSched.exeC:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jqs.exeC:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$VAIO_VEDB\Binn\sqlservr.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exeC:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\RegSrvc.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Event Service\VESMgr.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Sony Shared\VAIO Entertainment Platform\VCSW\VCSW.exeC:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Sony Shared\VAIO Entertainment Platform\VzCdb\VzCdbSvc.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Sony Shared\VAIO Entertainment Platform\VzCdb\VzFw.exeC:\Program Files\Apoint\Apoint.exeC:\WINDOWS\ehome\ehtray.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\ICO.EXEC:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Camera Utility\VCUServe.exeC:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Power Management\SPMgr.exeC:\Program Files\Sony\ISB Utility\ISBMgr.exeC:\Program Files\Sony\Wireless Switch Setting Utility\Switcher.exeC:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Update 2\VAIOUpdt.exeC:\Program Files\Utimaco\SafeGuard PrivateDisk\pdservice.exeC:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Distillr\Acrotray.exeC:\Program Files\Virgin Net Broadband\Dragdiag.exeC:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exeC:\Program Files\ScanSoft\OmniPageSE4.0\OpwareSE4.exeC:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\avgnt.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exeC:\Program Files\Spybot -
