getPlusPlus_Adobe_reg.exe problem

Recommended Posts

hope this isnt a stupid problem.

i looked around the forum first and really couldnt find anything that talks about this.

sorry if I overlooked it and id be glad to read a thread about this if someone would be kindly enough

to point me to a link to it. :-)

got infected with the stupid fake xp antivirus 2010.

went through a bout using mbam, coupled with spybot:search n destroy, and ad aware.

5 days later (in between my job), with an xp repair disk session to try to fix the 'exe' association issue that

the malware did, im still having little annoyances.

this is the latest error when i go to adobe's site to install flash:

"getPlusPlus_Adobe_reg.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

when I look at the details of the error it gives me this (have no clue what the crap it means, but i figure

its important to someone out there):

"EventType : BEX P1 : getPlusPlus_Adobe_reg.exe P2 : 1.0.0.1

P3 : 4b2640f3 P4 : getPlusPlus_Adobe_reg.exe P5 : 1.0.0.1

P6 : 4b2640f3 P7 : 00003970 P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000 "

i tried to adjust the settings in my display dialogue and try again, but to no avail.

it sucks. i cant see any inbedded videos and im working on an editing project and need to

look at a video to finish formats on a transcript of the video.

thanks, for any help.
