Anti-Malware stops followed by system crash

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Always state your Windows version / edition. Also, in your case, what is your antivirus program? and have you been able to do a full scan with it? Results?

As to the BSOD: capture/document the full STOP codes & text message. That is important for diagnosing the possible underlying issue. At least it would give an area to investigate.

See what Event Viewer has in it's log. Select Start button/ select Run , then type in

eventvwr.msc <Enter-key>

-- or Go to Control Panel / Performance and Maintenance/Administrative Tools >Event Viewer.

Review the sections and look for Errors or Warnings that match the time the event occurred.

Double click---the information "may" give a clue.

I very much encourage you to make sure your antivirus app is up-to-date; then do a full scan with it.

Then see what the results are.
