YoKenny1 Posted April 6, 2008 ID:15717 Share Posted April 6, 2008 When I do a Quick scan and let it complete that indicates that I have no infections I'm happy If I set MBAM to do a Quick Scan at 1:00AM I don't notice it running nor do I see a Log that it ran How can I be sure that I have set up MBAM to run a Quick Scan at 1:00AM and actually have it run? Hardhead Posted April 6, 2008 ID:15722 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Hello Kenny,Open Mbam and select Protection tab.Under Scheduling be sure that Run quick scan automatically at box is checked.Under general Setting in the protection tab be sure that Start with Windows is checked too.You can also check logs and see if the scan took place. If no log is present than this may be a small bug.I just changed the setting and will let you know my results a little after 1:00am. Root Admin RubbeR DuckY Posted April 6, 2008 Root Admin ID:15732 Share Posted April 6, 2008 The scans are silent. This means they should not actually bring up a logfile. They should save one however.
John L. Galt Posted April 7, 2008 ID:15755 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Nope - ain't doing it.I had both check for updates and scan checked, updates @ 4:00 AM and scan @ 5:00 AM. Never once did I see any log files from those times - hell, I went without manually scanning for 3 weeks and I had a 3 week gap in my logs, so I know that it was not saving logs.Furthermore, I also verified that on my system it was not updating - I randomly checked 3 different days before going to sleep and after waking up - the database file version never changed.Of course, now that I am on Vista 64bit, I have other issues, but that was on my old system. Root Admin RubbeR DuckY Posted April 7, 2008 Root Admin ID:15763 Share Posted April 7, 2008 1.10 should be scheduled to update just fine, that was fixed.

They should save one however. 1.10 should be scheduled to update just fine, that was fixed. I have v1.10 installed on both my XP Home and Pro systems and it does not save a log file in either. The only way to get a log file is to manually run a scan. Root Admin RubbeR DuckY Posted April 8, 2008 Root Admin ID:15796 Share Posted April 8, 2008 Ah, the reason behind this is ... if you have no results, why save a logfile? You know what an empty logfile looks like. Only if results are found, the list remains on screen.

So you mean that no news is good news so no log and log MBAM found Adware.Popcap on my XP Home system and quarantined it
YoKenny1 Posted April 11, 2008 Author ID:16001 Share Posted April 11, 2008 So you mean that no news is good news so no log and log I have noticed that Windows Defender keeps log of the MBAM scan in its History file indicating that it is a potentially unwanted behavior application after 1:30am which is about how long a Quick scan runs on my system for the catchme.sys file. Root Admin RubbeR DuckY Posted April 11, 2008 Root Admin ID:16022 Share Posted April 11, 2008 I will have to tinker around with that. CatchMe.sys will be relocated to system32\drivers in the next version.
YoKenny1 Posted April 18, 2008 Author ID:16649 Share Posted April 18, 2008 I still would like a one line entry in the Log just to indicate that it ran. I'd like the assurance that it actually ran.
