Malwarebytes Pro Trial

Recommended Posts

Greetings :)

Unfortunately there is currently no trial of the Pro version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, however, if you do activate it with you key and it is incompatible you still have options:

1 Contact support@malwarebytes.org and they will assist you with getting it to work or post here on the forum for help and if support cannot correct the issues, request a refund and it will be granted to you.

2 If you have another system that you can use it for instead that it is compatible with then do the following, reinstalling MBAM on the second computer:

Windows XP:

  • Click on Start and select Control Panel
  • Open Add/Remove Programs
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Restart your computer very important
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here
  • It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important
  • After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here
    • Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version
    • Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.
Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask me and I'll explain how to do it.

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

  • Click on the Start vista-7-start.png button and select Control Panel
  • Click on Programs and Features
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

You're very welcome :)

You should be fine. Should you encounter any problems simply reboot your PC into Safe Mode and then open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and click on the Protection tab and uncheck the option for it to start with Windows, then reboot your PC normally and it won't be running at startup so you can easily and safely uninstall it if required.

Boot into Safe Mode:

  • Restart your computer.
  • When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with the Advanced Options menu.
  • Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys.
  • Then press Enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode.
