It Takes SOOOOO Long!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have Malwarebytes v1.44 installed on my laptop running Windows7 Home Premium 64 bit.

I have Malwarebytes chosen to start up with Windows7.

It seems like it takes around 4-5 minutes to start. I do not have a bunch of programs running in the background either because I also use this as a gaming system.

Pretty much bare bones as far as Windows7 startup is concerned.

My question is, does anyone know why it takes soooooo long for the Malwarebytes icon to show up down at the bottom right by the clock(system tray)after starting up the computer.

Did I set something up wrong, etc.. Other programs I have chosen to start up with Windows7 seem to start pretty quick.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thank you very much!

It is actually delayed on purpose to prevent potential conflicts with other security software. Are there any actual physical issues aside from the icon taking a long time to show up in the tray?

No, not at all. The software runs great!!! I can deal with the delay. I was just curious if there might have been something wrong.

I love the software and thank you so much for accurately answering my question.

Have one on me! ;)

Regards,

Scott

Hello

Yes, mine took quite awhile to launch on my win 7 64 machine also. After I added the MBAM exclusions to Microsoft security essentials I changed the startup from Automatic(Delayed Start) to Automatic and everything was fine.

No, not at all. The software runs great!!! I can deal with the delay. I was just curious if there might have been something wrong.

I love the software and thank you so much for accurately answering my question.

Have one on me! :)

Scott
