Frequent BSOD's and stalled start-ups

Hi,

Hope the half-marathon went well.

It may be numerous Services loading that are slowing things down. We can investigate.

Download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post the one that is not minimized.

I'll evaluate the list and see what we can prune.

Thanks, the Half marathon went well. I cut my overall time by 5 whole minutes!

I hope you dont mind me asking but when I reviewed the DDS log I also noticed 1 last problem. As you can tell I have a Dell computer. when i ordered it, i had them put in a 5-in-1 media card reader which now appears missing in My Computer. Sometimes it will show up but most of the time it is gone. Is there a way to fix this?

Thank you SOOOO much for the help so far!

Hi,

Does it appear when you insert a media card? My HP laptop's media card reader only appears when a card is inserted.

If you could please: run DDS again, except this time post DDS.txt instead of attach.txt...

Hi,

Hi,

Does it appear when you insert a media card? My HP laptop's media card reader only appears when a card is inserted.

If you could please: run DDS again, except this time post DDS.txt instead of attach.txt...

Below is the requested file. The Media card reader is always supposed to show up in the "My Computer section as independant readers. Its a 5 slot reader and a drive for Micro sd, compact flash etc used to appear but they are gone now.

^^ 6 icons are supposed to appear under the "devices with removable storage" option.

Here is the DDS.txt:

Hi,

Below is the requested file. The Media card reader is always supposed to show up in the "My Computer section as independant readers.
Did it used to before??
Its a 5 slot reader and a drive for Micro sd, compact flash etc used to appear but they are gone now.
Do the icons appear when you insert a media card??

Hi,

Did it used to before??

Do the icons appear when you insert a media card??

Since I bought the computer the media reader used to have the all 5 or so icons appear all the time when I open My Computer. There is a green LED light that DOES flash when I insert a media card however the icon is not present.

I feel like its a connection issue since I recall when I used to have access I would leave an SD card in and the icons would be there but if i removed it all the icons would disappear. Could it be a loose connection to the mother board?

Hmm. That is definitely a possibility, but since I personally can't look at it, and since this is most probably a hardware issue and not a malware issue, I would recommend sending it in to Dell if you can.

Let me know what you decide to do.
