Having troubles

Recommended Posts

So, I've been having some spyware troubles and my friend recommended this program to me. I've tried it out, but it doesn't seem to be working right. When running the full scan, it scans the same folder (the skins folder of Yahoo messenger) over and over for 4 and a half hours. 5 million files scanned.

I had a desktop that never came close to that many files and I'm on a laptop now. Something's got to be wrong.

Hello Pegasus ,Welcome to Malwarebytes.org

It appears that you have some problems but you do not mention an infection - It is best to follow these instructions listed below -

We will treat it as an infection for now but we don't work on Malware removal or diagnostics in the general forums.

Please print out, read, and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.

After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post - Please be patient as the experts are very busy at this time -

Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org

Unless AdvancedSetup or someone else has any decent ideas please use this diagnostic method -

Thank You - :)
