Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted April 2, 2008 Root Admin ID:15547 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Isn't that the way it goes... even beta software from Microsoft and others has to be fully removed before you can install the RELEASE product. Not sure what they put in the betas that can't be removed by an installer program, but sure seems to be the way it goes even for the big guys. John L. Galt Posted April 4, 2008 ID:15601 Share Posted April 4, 2008 Been out of commission for the last couple of weeks, due to SP1 testing on my system as well as adding a new SATA HD to my system - ended up installing Vista 3 different times.Marcin and the rest of the devs, this new version is a lot faster - of couse, this is on a nearly clean Vista SP1 install (I have installed Office 2007, WinPatrol, and a couple of other things). No Symantec Endpoint yet, much to the frustration of my work folks - they'll see me back on this weekend...I noticed that the heuristics scan is a *lot* faster now - I will run several scans over the next couple of days, then test again after installing SEP and see if there is a noticealbe decline in performance...Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.10Database version: 589Scan type: Quick ScanObjects scanned: 26672Time elapsed: 2 minute(s), 31 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 0Registry Values Infected: 0Registry Data Items Infected: 0Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 0Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Values Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Data Items Infected:(No malicious items detected)Folders Infected:(No malicious items detected)Files Infected:(No malicious items detected)
