Hi,

First of all, please update MalwareBytes...

  • Start MalwareBytes and click the Update tab. There click "Check for updates"
  • Once the updates are downloaded, perform a quick scan again.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log, then we'll proceed from there with new steps.

Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

Hi,

That's not the correct log though. The log opens after you have run the malwarebytes scan.

Not sure either if your version of malwarebytes is up to date, because mbam should detect the other components as well though..

So...

First of all, please update MalwareBytes, ...

Hi,

This looks OK here though.

I assume you rebooted afterwards? Because this is really important.

Can you verify this folder is deleted? C:\Program Files (x86)\Windowsdll

If not, delete it manually from windows safe mode.

Also, it looks like your Eset isn't really up and running here. Are you aware of this? I suggest you reinstall Eset again.

Also do the following...

Please run this online scan to help look for remnants.

Establish an internet connection & perform an online scan with Internet Explorer at Kaspersky Online Scanner

Click Accept, when prompted to download and install the program files and database of malware definitions.

  • Click Run at the Security prompt.
  • The program will then begin downloading and installing and will also update the database.
  • Please be patient as this can take several minutes.
  • Once the update is complete, click on My Computer under the green Scan bar to the left to start the scan.
  • Once the scan is complete, it will display if your system has been infected. It does not provide an option to clean/disinfect. We only require a report from it.
  • Do NOT be alarmed by what you see in the report. Many of the finds have likely been quarantined.
  • Click View scan report at the bottom.
  • Click the Save Report As... button.
  • Click the Save as Text button to save the file to your desktop so that you may post it in your next reply.

**Note**

To optimize scanning time and produce a more sensible report for review:

  • Close any open programs.
  • Turn off the real-time scanner of all antivirus or antispyware programs while performing the online scan.

Note for Internet Explorer 7 users: If at any time you have trouble viewing the accept button of the license, click on the Zoom tool located at the bottom right of the IE window and set the zoom to 75%. Once the license is accepted, reset to 100%.

Hi,

What was found are only leftovers in your temp folder and recyclebin, so to delete these easily, navigate to the following folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\

Locate the following files in there:

TMP00000006299E987F765204A4

TMP0000002E8990773FB27FA57C

and delete them.

The same applies for this folder:

C:\Users\mike\AppData\Local\Temp\ - locate the down-Crypted.exe in there and delete it.

Then empty your recycle bin.

Let me know in your next reply how things are now.

Glad I could help. B)

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.

And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.

Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.

Happy Surfing again!
