Error code 730 (0,0)

Recommended Posts

Just had my computer fixed at a specialist shop. They installed malwarebytes and avast security software. I was aware that my external hard drive had a trojan etc... on it, so plugged it in and scanned it for virus's before install files back onto main hard drive. Ran both anti-virus programs which both picked up some virus's. Deleted the infected files on avast security but when I continued to delete the infected files found using malwarebytes it simply crashed. Now everytime I try and open the software a message pops up saying 'Error code 730 (0,0)! Should I take it back to the shop or am I liable? Or even better can some help!

Hello Tom.

Please follow this sequence for MBAM removal & re-install:

1) Go to Control Panel and Add-or-Remove programs.

uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Exit Control Panel

2) Logoff and restart your computer

Get, save, and then run the utility at the following link

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-clean.exe

3)Logoff and restart your computer again.

4)Now, reinstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.

You may download a fresh copy for the reinstall from the following link: mbam-setup.exe

If you purchased MBAM (have a license) you will need to reenter your ID and Key afterwards to get the Protection module enabled.

Well you should contact the shop and get the ID/KEY as it is your property if they sold it to you and installed it for you.

We'll help you fix it or remove Malware from your system, but you should have a copy of the ID/Key for future use if or when needed on another hard drive replacement.

Thank you.
